Version 2026-09-24 · FRNDZ staging · public event name visibility clarified 2026-10-01
Information we use
We use your email for account verification, recovery, and access. Your profile name, chosen chapter, visibility settings, event activity, group messages, stories, reports, support requests, and acceptance records support the features you choose. The app also records limited error codes for diagnosis. Passwords are handled by the sign-in provider and are not stored in FRNDZ profile tables.
Who can see it
Other signed-in members can see your display name if your profile is visible to members. Your name is also shown to anyone viewing a public event you host or comments you post on a public event; setting your profile to Private hides your name in those public contexts. Your profile starts with discovery off and optional notifications off. Group messages are available to group members; attendees can see the attendance list after RSVP. Public event details and chapter names are available without signing in. Private album metadata is visible to its owner. Staff can access reports and support requests to investigate them. Your email is not part of public member profiles.
Your choices and permissions
Use Profile to edit visibility, discovery, and optional notification settings, block members, download your account data, or delete your account. FRNDZ does not currently require access to your contacts, camera, or precise device location. If a future feature requests such access, the browser or device will ask when you use it.
Email delivery
Supabase handles account verification and recovery. When configured, Resend processes your recipient email address and email content to deliver account and notification emails. Optional activity emails are off by default and can be managed in Profile. Private chat text and group names stay in the app; activity emails link you back to FRNDZ.
Retention
Stories stop appearing after 24 hours and are purged seven days after they expire. Account records, events, messages, and albums remain while the account exists. Resolved reports and support cases are retained for up to one year for safety and accountability; diagnostic records for up to 90 days. Deleting an account removes its personal content and identifiers from active application tables. Database backups, where available, may retain earlier copies until their backup cycle expires.
Requests
You can download your data or request deletion in Profile. If you cannot access your account, use the support form for an access or privacy request. See the Terms of Service.
